Our 45th Class Reunion is now history. Friday night's SOC Hop was so much fun and the photographer with the "green screen" made it even better. And how 'bout that gourmet popcorn? I think I may have eaten more than my fair share of the peanut butter popcorn! The buffet of hot dogs and hamburgers was delicious. In fact, no names mentioned, I saw several of you going back for seconds and thirds. Not to worry, there was more than plenty to eat!
We promised a surprise for Saturday night, somehow we managed to keep it a secret right up until it was announced. All I have to say is, Didn't We Have A Good Time, Baby! Yes, the surprise was The Mystics!! David Mitchell, Danny Fugate, Glenn Struble, Robert Faries and Ron Jobe are the original Mystics, but Ron couldn't make it from Oregon. Glenn's brother, Alan, filled-in to round out the group. They put on a terrific performance & the class went wild! I've posted an old promotional photo of them below followed by a photo taken when they took the stage at our Reunion.

| 60's Garage Bands Article |

| Mike Dugo, creator of "60's Garage Bands" site, contacted David Mitchell to do an interview regarding The Mystics. They discussed how the original band, Glory Tones, got started and how it later morphed into The Mystics. Very interesting article and I think you'll enjoy it. For those of you totally confused by the Chill Factor banner, let me clarify. Keep in mind, The Mystics have not played together since Uncle Sam broke up the group shortly after graduation. Therefore, they had no sound equipment, speakers, or microphones. The plot thickens. Two of the members of Chill Factor, Glenn & Alan Struble, were also playing Saturday night with The Mystics. Chill Factor graciously agreed to come out Saturday and help set up all their sound equipment & let The Mystics use it for their set. They came back later that night to watch their friends, aka Mystics, play. After The Mystics played, then Chill Factor treated us by playing a set. In order to help keep the secret, Chill Factor put up their banner & The Mystics kept their banner hidden until they took the stage. It was quiet a night, and for those who missed it . . . you really missed a memorable event. Below is a photo of Chill Factor so you can put names to the faces and sort out who is who.
